Deborah studied Illustration at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and went on to work as a designer.
In 2004 she qualified as a teacher and taught visual communication for ten years. Teaching is part of her practice and she has contributed to a variety of courses specialising in visual communication and textiles.
In 2016 she gained an MA in Textiles from Chelsea College of Art.
She works from her studio in Sussex where she makes textiles, collages, prints and drawings.
Whether working with paper or cloth she explores the interplay of materials, colour, shape and the spaces in-between. Her work reflects her interest in the cross over between art, design and craft.
